New Flat

I've recently moved and consequently changed my address in postcrossing for the second time. Now my husband and I rent flat in the center of Saratov. It's more convenient than to live in the suburbs of the satellite town (Engels-8, to say exactly). There are a lot of things that I do love here - walking all day, 10-minutes walk from work, visiting friends, cable TV and fast Internet. Besides I like the speed of the post. It's really much more quick! I suppose Russian post is one of the slowest in the world but here it's almost OK. My cards reach their destination in 2 weeks. And I get cards in the same period. So here are two cards I've received in my new flat.
The first one from Germany . Amazing card with wonderful message from the Weber family.

The second one from Finland . It's one of my best loved cards. I adore Disney card!!! So cute, so sweet, so girlish!

Back Again

Probably it's hard to believe but I'm still alive and back again. And again writing about cards from all over the world.
Actually I hate this my trait of character when I stop doing everything on-line for the long period and then unexpectedly return. I'm trying to change.

Winter cards

Wow, I have not been writing here for more than 2 weeks!!! Luckily in reality I got a lot of amazing cards and had a lot of pleasing news. So today and perhaps tomorrow I'll write about everything.
It's very cold in Saratov (about -20 C), so children don't go to school and stay at home. But adults go to work as low temperatures is a good reason to have some rest only for children. But the streets look beautiful now: it's sunny and there are a lot of white snow. I was pleased to get 2 winter cards :)
Here they are:
PL-170093 Thanks for a nice view. Btw, in Saratov region  there is a nice winter resort for snowboarding and downhill skiing, it is called Khvalynsk. I've never been there 'cause I'm not very interested in these sports. (it's too cold for me:)

LV-25299 Наталья, спасибо за чудесную открытку!!! It's a funny cute card! I love these monkeys. I have an aroma lamp with them at home :)

5 cards!!!

On Friday I got 5 nice and a bit unexpected cards. It's so nice to get surprises. Actually my memory isn't good when it concerns cards or small things like that. I can easily forget if I've sent a card or not, where I took part in the lottery. So I was a small shock for me to gat a card from Chelyabinsk from LJ user Inffi. It turned out that I signed in her post to gat an old card :) Have a look! It's very nice. And reminds Saratov a lot. We have a square like that too: with Lenin and local government.

Another nice card that I've got is from Wemmie - my penpal with whome I exchange cards. It's an amazing reprint of an old photo taken in 1935. I love the boarders of the card because they remind me of the greatgrandma photos.

And I've got 3 official cards. Some words about each of them:
1.A Hot Postcard From Texas. It's cold and snowy in Saratov. And Belinda and her card remind me about summer and hot days. I want it so much to come sooner. In such moments I want to live in the place where the card is from ;)

2. A Squirrel from Finland. Susanna, thank you very much! It's a nice addition to my collection. If you don't know, my husband calls me Belka (Squirrel in Russian). And I collect squirrels. I'm not crazy about it: I have 6 toys, some small souvenirs, a pendant which I never take off and now 17 card with squirrels!!! FI-994947

   

3. Winnie-the-Pooh card from Serbia!!! I love cartoons!!! I love Disney cartoons! And I'm a fan of children book characters. I wasn't read Winnie-the-Pooh in childhood (alhough love cartoons greatly), so I read it only 3 years ago. It's one of my favourite fairy tales. Just to remind about me

Shame on me, I wasn't writting for so long. But now I'm gonna be a good girl and do my best.
First of all many thanks to girls who came to the first Saratov meeting of postcrossers. I was very pleased to get acquainted with you. Here are some photos from the meeting. We've signed about 40 cards! We are monsters ;)
I've got 2 official cards. And I'm in love with both.
1. A view card from Turkey! It's my first official from this country. I love the way Aynur signed the card and very nice description on the front. TR-51067

2. Christmas card!!! It came on February,2 when people in China celebrate New Year. A nice gift for this holiday although I'm not Chenese ;)  NL-518270 It's one of my favourites. I love New Year greetings!

 

My husband

As it simply to guess from the title I would like to tell you about my amazing husband and his attitude to postcrossing. At first some facts from my biography for you just to have a general view. We've been living together since autumn 2007. We like to spend time together and tell each other interesting things. Luckily we have one mutual hobby - LARP and several separate ones. So he tells me news from the Internet, historical facts and show cute pics. In my turn I tell him about my nice postcards. He loves watching cards I receive. Sometimes he helps me to find a better card to send. He loves postcards but he'll never start sending them himself 'cause his too lazy for it and don't have a hunger for communication. But he often brings my cards to the post office to send  as it's more convenient for him them for me. He feels nervous when I don't get mail for a long time and upsets when my cards become expired. He checks my postbox when I'm not at home.  And it's such a wonderful feeling when after a hard working day he meets you in the railroad station and gives you a card!!! And in one second all your hunger and tiredness come away when you see your beloved with such a great surprise for you. And half of your way home you speak about the card...
On Friday my husband brought me a nice card from Taiwan. It's a card of a very first port of Taiwan. It's great 'cause we both like maps. Thank you Lucy!

I check my postbox  several times a day luckily I even needn't to leave my flat to do it. So I was very happy to get 2 cards yestaerday.
I got an amazing card from marina-khv with red-haired lady. I'm in love with red-haired ladies!!! Marina brought that card from here journey to Japan. Hope to have more cards with red-haired girls in my collection.
So I'll send Saratov view card to Habarovsk today. Unfortunatelly it's not so nice but somehow it's from my hometown.
